Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Scope of this Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all services offered by celebrixup through its entertainment reporting platform. The platform provides access to training and tools for event coverage, interview setup, studio presentation, camera framing, and smooth media workflows. It covers paid courses, subscription access, and related digital services purchased by customers in the United Kingdom. The policy explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. It does not cover free trial content or promotional materials provided without charge.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices on the platform are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Prices include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No hidden fees are added at checkout for standard purchases. However, if a customer requests custom studio setup guidance or extended workflow consultations beyond the standard course modules, additional charges may apply and will be quoted separately before any payment is taken. Currency conversion fees may arise if a customer pays from an account held in another currency; such fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not controlled by celebrixup.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, as well as approved digital wallets. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with UK data protection standards. When a payment is submitted, an authorisation hold is placed on the card until the transaction is confirmed. celebrixup does not store full card details. Customers receive an email confirmation once payment has been successfully authorised. Any suspected fraudulent activity will result in the order being paused pending verification.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed when celebrixup sends an order confirmation email after successful payment. This confirmation outlines the specific course modules purchased, access duration, and any applicable subscription terms. Until this email is received, no contract exists and the customer may cancel without penalty. Access to digital content begins immediately upon confirmation, which affects cancellation rights as explained below.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers in the United Kingdom generally have 14 days from the date of contract formation to cancel. Because the platform delivers digital content and services immediately, the right to cancel ends once access is granted unless the customer explicitly consents to early delivery. Customers who have not yet accessed any course materials may cancel within 14 days for a full refund. Cancellations must be requested in writing via the contact form on the Contacts page.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available only where the service has not been substantially used. Completed course modules, downloaded materials, or attended live workflow sessions are non-refundable. Subscriptions that have been active for more than 14 days are also non-refundable except in cases of proven technical failure on the platform side. Promotional offers and bundled services cannot be refunded separately from the main purchase.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, the customer must submit a written request through the contact form on the Contacts page, providing the order number, date of purchase, and a clear statement of the reason. No other contact methods are accepted for refund requests. celebrixup will acknowledge receipt within two working days and may request additional information such as screenshots of access attempts if technical issues are claimed.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Upon receipt of a refund request, celebrixup will inspect the account activity to confirm whether materials have been accessed. A decision will be communicated by email within 10 working days. Approved refunds will include the original payment amount minus any non-refundable elements. Rejected requests will include a clear explanation of the reason based on the policy terms.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, though the customer’s bank or card issuer may require additional time. Customers should allow up to 30 days for funds to appear. No cash refunds or alternative payment methods are offered.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital courses and workflow training materials are supplied immediately upon payment, which limits the standard 14-day cancellation right once access begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional discounts apply only to the first billing period and do not create ongoing refund entitlements. If a subscription is cancelled mid-term, no prorated refund is provided except where required by mandatory UK law.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments will be retried once automatically. Duplicate charges are investigated within five working days and corrected by refund where verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent transactions lead to immediate account review and reporting to relevant authorities where necessary, without refund of any fees incurred.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or UK GDPR. If a service is not of satisfactory quality or does not match the description provided, the customer retains the right to request repair, replacement or a price reduction. These rights cannot be excluded by contract terms.
Contact Route, Policy Changes and Last-Updated Date
Questions about this policy or payment issues should be directed via the contact form on the Contacts page using [email protected] or the postal address 9 Union Road, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire NP7 5UW, United Kingdom. celebrixup may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or service offerings. The current version will always be available on the website with the last-updated date displayed at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
